Celebrating Sporting Excellence Across BHCET!
At Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust, we are proud to champion sport as a vital part of our students’ development—promoting resilience, teamwork, and healthy competition. This year, we have launched a series of Trust-wide sporting events, giving students the opportunity to compete against peers from across our 35 schools and celebrate their talents on a wider stage.
BHCET Swimming Gala
Held at Mill House Leisure Centre in Hartlepool, our first-ever Trust Swimming Gala brought together young swimmers from each of our secondary schools. With powerful performances, incredible team spirit, and outstanding sportsmanship, the gala was a huge success and showcased the strength of our swimmers across all age groups.
BHCET Netball Festival
Hosted by The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College, our second annual Trust Netball Festival united students from Years 7–10 in a vibrant day of high-level competition. It was inspiring to see so much talent on display, with players representing their schools with skill, determination, and pride.
BHCET Athletics Event
Our Trust Athletics Meet gave pupils the chance to shine in a range of track and field events. The competition was fierce, but the sense of camaraderie and celebration was even stronger, highlighting the value of Trust-wide events that push our students to be their best.
These events mark the beginning of our long-term commitment to enhancing sporting opportunities across the Trust. By giving our pupils the chance to compete with some of the top athletes in our schools, we are raising aspirations and encouraging excellence.
More exciting sporting opportunities are on the way in the next academic year – stay tuned!
